Generate QR codes or barcodes in bulk from a CSV

Generating one QR code or barcode at a time works fine for a one-off need, but quickly becomes tedious for labelling an entire inventory or preparing a batch of invitations. This tool processes a CSV file of up to 500 rows at once, producing one image file per row, delivered together in a ready-to-use ZIP archive.

Background processing

Unlike generating a single code, which is nearly instant, a batch of several hundred rows takes a few seconds to process: the file is uploaded, processed in the background with progress shown in real time, then automatically deleted after download — the same privacy guarantees as everywhere else on the site.

Naming your files sensibly

By default, each generated file is named after the content it encodes. For a more readable result — especially useful if you open the ZIP to find a specific code — point to a dedicated CSV column to use as the filename, for example a product reference or internal ID, separate from the column encoded in the code itself.

Frequently asked questions

What format should my CSV file be in?
One column containing the content to encode (a URL per row, for example), and optionally a second column to name each generated file. The first row must contain column headers.
How many rows can I process at once?
Up to 500 rows per file. For a larger volume, split your CSV into several smaller files.
What happens if I don't choose a naming column?
Each file is named after its own encoded value, sanitised to stay a valid filename. Choosing a dedicated column (a product reference, for example) generally gives more readable names.
Can I generate barcodes in bulk too, not just QR codes?
Yes: choose the barcode type you want before starting generation, applied to every row in the file.
Is the result verified the same way as a single generation?
Yes, each code in the batch is individually re-scanned; a warning appears if any of them turns out unreadable, so you find out before printing hundreds of labels rather than after.
